Jerome Guicherd

Jerome GUICHERD is from region of Lyon, France. Son of a musician, he began playing the piano at the age of 5, then became interested in drums and percussion at the age of 10.
In 1997 he joined Frederic Macarez’s class at the National Conservatory of Paris where he obtained a first prize unanimously in 1999. In 2001, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris in the class of Michel Cerutti, where he won first prize with unanimous honors in 2003.
Parallel to his studies, he performed in major French orchestras such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Capitole de Toulouse Orchestra, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, the Paris Opera, …
Passionate about Jazz and music from various cultures, he also regularly performs with various ensembles as a percussionist, as well as a pianist.
He is currently percussionist of the National Police Harmony Orchestra, percussion drumming teacher at the Conservatory of Music of the city of Clichy la Garenne as well as the Conservatoire Municipal du 12th arrondissement of Paris and member of the Quatuor Beat since 2003 .
