Laurent Fraiche graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
In 2006, he won the Third Prize at the First International Timpani Competition in Lyon.
After starting percussion at the CRR of Nancy in the class of Jacques Prez, he continued his studies at the CRR of Versailles with Sylvio Gualda and at the Municipal Conservatory of the 12th arrondissement of Paris with Michel Gastaud.
At the end of his DFS at the CNSM in Paris in the class of Michel Cerruti, he perfected his skills on timpani with Raymond Curfs principal timpanist of the Munich Opera Orchestra.
Since 2001, he has participated in concerts and productions of the Paris Opera, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre National de France, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and the Orchestre de Paris.
He is currently Principal Timpanist at the Lille Orchestra, professor at the Pôle Supérieur 93 and member of the Quatuor Beat.
