Gabriel Benlolo
Gabriel Benlolo commence le piano à six ans puis la percussion et la batterie au CRR d’Aubervilliers-La Courneuve, où il obtient les premiers prix de percussion et de musique de chambre à l’unanimité. Entré au CNSMD de Paris en 1999 dans la classe de Michel Cerutti, il y obtient son Diplôme de Formation Supérieure en 2003 puis le prix de musique de chambre en 2005. Durant ses études, il participe également aux tournées du Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Gabriel Benlolo began piano at the age of six, followed by percussion and drums at the Aubervilliers-La Courneuve Conservatoire, where he received unanimous first prizes in percussion and chamber music. He entered Michel Cerutti’s class at the Paris Conservatoire in 1999, graduating in 2003 before receiving the chamber-music prize in 2005. During his studies, he also took part in tours with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.
Depuis 2004, il est percussionniste soliste à l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Il collabore également avec l’Orchestre de Paris, l’Orchestre National de France, l’Ensemble intercontemporain et l’Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse. Très engagé dans la création contemporaine et le théâtre musical, il compose et arrange aussi pour la scène. Il enseigne au Pôle Supérieur 93 et au CRR d’Aubervilliers-La Courneuve. Since 2004, he has been a principal percussionist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He has also performed with the Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Ensemble intercontemporain and Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse. Deeply involved in contemporary creation and music theatre, he also composes and arranges for the stage. He teaches at Pôle Supérieur 93 and the Aubervilliers-La Courneuve Conservatoire.
